Retail Consultant (Part-Time) – Aesop

Role Purpose
As a Retail Consultant, you’ll embody Aesop’s commitment to engaging authentically with customers, listening, and guiding them toward products that resonate. Ideally, you’ll create memorable interactions that:
- Welcome customers into our spaces with intentional hospitality.
- Deepen the emotional connection to our products through thoughtful demonstrations.
- Foster an exceptional, inclusive customer experience that aligns with our commercial goals.
- Acknowledge and address customer needs to drive positive outcomes and appreciation for our solutions.
What We Are Looking For
- Customer service experience: Proven track record in advisory or sales-driven roles that prioritise people.
- Commercial acumen: Strong ability to sell persuasively and influence outcomes.
- Team player: History of collaborative success—contributing to team goals while advancing individual growth.
- Empathy and inclusivity: A compassionate attitude toward interpersonal dynamics, ensuring all customers feel valued.
- Curiosity-driven mindset: Passion for active listening and openness to diverse perspectives (e.g., cultural, individual needs).
- Critical thinking: Problem-solving skills underpinning effective communication.
- + Advantageous:
- A working knowledge of skincare (ingredients, trends, product usage).
- Familiarity with hair care, body care, fragrance, and home categories broadens applicability.
- Availability: Part-time commitment (24 hours/week) with flexible scheduling (onsite only).
