About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Lead a team of Sterile Service and Endoscopy personnel
- Ensure compliance with current legislation for sterile provisions
- Provide leadership by example, fostering effective communication and positive interpersonal relationships
Job Purpose
As Team Leader, your core responsibilities will include:
- Supervising day-to-day operations of sterile service and endoscopy teams, ensuring state-approved standards are met
- Demonstrating leadership through consistency and promotion of clear departmental communication
- Enforcing and modelling health and safety compliance within the workplace
Working Pattern
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Rotating schedule (Monday–Friday):
- Tuesday–Wednesday: 07:00–15:00
- Thursday: 13:00–21:00
- Friday–Saturday: 07:00–15:00
Core Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure safe and efficient decontamination, assembly, and sterilisation of equipment, instruments, and consumables, adhering strict quality standards
- Actively monitor and maintain departmental records (e.g., quality assurance documentation) under QMS guidelines

Team Leadership & Guidance:
- Provide direct supervision to guarantee timely delivery of clean/sterile instrumentation
- Oversee practical application of Health and Safety procedures, keeping staff up-to-date through ongoing training

Process Improvement & Support:
- Collaborate as a key member of the management team, contributing to innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices
- Offer support in planning and operational execution, working alongside the Production Manager
Requirements

Mandatory:
- Proven ability in team leadership, with a focus on accountability and producing results
- Technical aptitude for basic end-user IT tasks (particularly for track-and-traceability systems)

- Commitment to working in a customer-facing NHS environment
