Purpose of Position
The Account Consultant is a strategic affiliate marketing consultant focused on accelerating growth for Awin's high-value and high-potential advertisers. Acting as a trusted advisor rather than a traditional account manager, the role is responsible for delivering expert guidance, commercial insight, and performance strategies that help clients maximize the value of their affiliate programme. Through deep channel expertise, data-driven analysis, and proactive opportunity identification, the Account Consultant influences business outcomes, unlocks growth potential, and supports advertisers in achieving their strategic objectives. As part of Platform Services, the role combines affiliate expertise, industry knowledge, and commercial consultancy to drive scalable success across a portfolio of growth-focused advertisers.
Key Tasks
- Act as a strategic affiliate marketing consultant to a portfolio of high-value and high-potential advertisers.
- Provide expert guidance and data-driven recommendations to accelerate growth and improve programme performance.
- Deliver strategic business reviews, translating performance data into actionable commercial opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of clients' business objectives, market dynamics, and growth priorities.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, expand partner reach, and maximise affiliate channel contribution.
- Advise on affiliate strategy, publisher development, commissioning models, promotional activity, and programme optimisation.
- Analyse programme performance, market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategic recommendations.
- Lead client workshops, strategy discussions, business reviews, and presentations.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
- Provide expert consultation on performance challenges, strategic opportunities, and affiliate best practices.
- Share industry knowledge, market insights, and best practices to support continuous improvement across the team.
- Contribute to departmental projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Champion client-centric thinking and continuous improvement across the business.

Skills & Expertise
- Previous experience managing affiliate programmes for medium to large enterprises.
- Strong understanding of affiliate marketing principles, publisher models, and performance marketing channels.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering commercial or performance-based recommendations.
- Comfortable analyzing performance data and turning insights into actionable growth strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build credibility with clients.
- Confident presenter with experience leading client meetings and performance discussions.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to interpret performance metrics and communicate findings effectively.
