The Trading Lead

The Trading Lead is responsible for managing the performance of our affiliate programme across TV, Broadband and Mobile. This role sits in the Affiliates team within Digital Marketing, reporting to the Head of Affiliates.

What You’ll Do

  • Trading Performance: Be the expert in trading for affiliates across all products. Have a deep understanding of the drivers of all KPIs down to a product and partner level, and consider wider Digital Marketing implications.
  • Own the message: Be the voice of in quarter affiliate performance, clearly communicate findings in a simple and timely manner answering, “what is happening, why & what should we do.”
  • Idea generation: Find opportunities to optimise across volume, revenue and EBIT influencing future commercial plans. Share insight and opportunities based on affiliate performance and market trends.
  • Collaborate and influence: Work with wider Digital, TV Commercial, Trading Performance and Finance, Digital teams to ensure the Sky leadership team makes informed and timely decisions.
  • Team management: Develop and manage two direct reports, ensuring clear goals, objectives and career development plans are in place.

What You'll Bring

  • Commercial mindset: Solid understanding of key performance indicators and how these are to be used when making decisions and recommendations.
  • Comfortable with data: Able to work complex data sets; perform analysis and be confident in drawing recommendations, even with incomplete information.
  • Strong communicator: Able to communicate confidently up to Director level with excellent presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Brilliant collaborator: Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proactive: Able to continually critique and optimise performance and solve issues with a positive mind-set.
  • Team management: Experience in coaching and managing individuals.
