Job Description
About the Role:
OMD is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Affiliate Account Director to oversee the delivery of activity for premium brands that are household names in the finance and automobile sectors.
You will be your clients’ key day-to-day contact, responsible for planning & activating, and evolving the performance strategy that will help deliver their business objectives.
To achieve this, you will directly manage an Affiliate Executive and an Affiliate Account Manager and report to the Head of Affiliates. Your role is to organise, inspire, and innovate across this team to deliver optimal results for your clients. Alongside this, you’ll have a keen sense of commercial awareness, applied on your clients’ behalf to continually optimise and drive efficiency.
- Work with your team to coordinate campaign strategies for the channel, which include building and managing relationships with Key Publishers.
- Drive innovation within your account, negotiating and planning for added value for your clients.
- Identify new partners and expansion opportunities that fit within the limitations of your client’s sector.
- Constantly looking to drive growth into new areas and to launch new activities for additional business areas to drive client growth.
- Support the management of daily client expectations, learning to manage your workload with multiple deliverables.
- Continuously recommend new ideas/strategies/tactics and implement them for the client’s benefit, and remain interested in the client’s business.

These are some of the skills and attitudes that you will need to fulfil your role:
- This role requires a strong strategic understanding of affiliate marketing and its landscape.
- Innovative & analytical thinking.
- Strong team leadership, organisation & management.
- Workload and priority management and the ability to juggle a handful of live products and campaigns simultaneously.
You will be primarily responsible for leading the affiliate activity, building strong relationships with both the clients and affiliate partners to ensure the smooth running of your accounts. Therefore, strong communication, attention to detail and organisational skills are essential in this role.
You will have a keen sense of commercial awareness employed on behalf of your clients to optimise media continually. You will have an enthusiastic, inquisitive nature to constantly evolve your knowledge of existing partners and technologies, delivering a best-in-class affiliate program.
- Best-in-class expertise across affiliates, aggregators and lead generation (the latter is not essential).
- Be up to date on your core client verticals, developing an opinion on major industry developments within digital media and more broadly within that vertical.
- Experience managing affiliate programs either from Agency, Network, Publisher, or Client Side. You will be joining a team of affiliate specialists that can apply transferable optimisation and management skills across a portfolio of clients to ultimately deliver the best performance against their core KPI’s.
