Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join Boots as an Affiliate Specialist in Manchester!
At Boots, we work every day to build a brilliant environment for our people, empowering them to make a difference for our customers and colleagues. As part of our Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our affiliate strategy, leading innovative initiatives that drive engagement and sales.
What you’ll be doing
In this exciting role, you will report to the Affiliates Manager and manage an Affiliate Executive. You will lead the upper-funnel side of our Affiliate channel, focusing on content partnerships, influencer subnetworks, and comparison shopping services. Your insights will help us navigate the evolving landscape of AI-driven shopping journeys, ensuring Boots remains at the forefront of innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, delivery, and optimisation of our upper-funnel affiliate partnerships - spanning content publishers, influencer subnetworks, and CSS - using data-driven insights to shape planning, execution, and performance improvements.
- Own the LLM pillar of the affiliate strategy, tracking how AI-driven and conversational search is changing discovery and recommendation, and shaping our approach to ensure Boots is well-positioned within emerging LLM-powered shopping journeys.
- Build and manage strong relationships with our affiliate network, content and influencer subnetwork partners, CSS providers, and emerging tech providers to unlock incremental growth opportunities.
- Support the long-term development of the channel, continuously identifying opportunities to innovate, test new models, and evolve the affiliate strategy in line with wider performance media goals.
- Manage and develop an Affiliate Executive, providing day-to-day line management, coaching, and performance support, while working collaboratively with another Affiliate Specialist to share best practice and contribute to a high-performing team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
