About the Internship
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within one of the fastest-growing areas of the global beauty industry. Working directly with the Founder, you will support research projects, industry reports, market analysis, and strategic initiatives that help African beauty brands successfully enter and grow within the UK and German markets.

Your Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Industry Research
- Research beauty and personal care trends across Germany and the UK
- Monitor new product launches and emerging brands
- Analyse African Beauty brands entering European markets
- Track BeautyTech, salon equipment, and aesthetic device innovations
- Monitor retailer strategies and category developments
- Research European consumer behaviour and purchasing trends
- Contribute to House of Keren's market reports and white papers

Research and analyse leading retailers, including:

Responsibilities include:
- Product assortment reviews
- Pricing analysis
- Brand positioning
- Consumer trends
- In-store merchandising observations (where possible)
- Retail innovation monitoring
African Beauty Research
Support projects exploring:
- African botanical ingredients
- Ingredient innovation
- Sustainability initiatives
- Founder stories
- Beauty manufacturing across Africa
- Export opportunities
- European consumer awareness of African Beauty
You will contribute directly to House of Keren's goal of establishing African Beauty as a recognised category within Europe.

- Industry articles

- Presentation development
- Conference research

- Beauty trend reports
Events & Industry Engagement
Support the planning and research for:
- Industry conferences
- Trade exhibitions
- Buyer roundtables
- Webinars
- Retail networking events
- Founder interviews
Where appropriate, you may also attend beauty events to support research and networking.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about beauty and innovation
- Curious about international markets
- Highly organised
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- A confident writer and communicator
- Interested in consumer behaviour and retail trends
- Comfortable working independently
- Excited about building something new
An interest in African Beauty, inclusive beauty, or sustainability would be advantageous but is not essential.
