Summary

Support children in a safe and engaging after-school environment, supervise activities, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to their wellbeing, development, and enjoyment while working closely with staff and parents.

Working hours will be from 15:00-17:45, Monday to Friday.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supervising and supporting children during after-school activities
  • Assisting with planning and delivering games, crafts, and educational activities
  • Ensuring the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of all children
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
  • Providing snacks and maintaining a clean, organised environment
  • Communicating effectively with parents and school staff
  • Supporting children with diverse needs and abilities

Qualifications & Experience

This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children. You will also need:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Early Years / Play-work / Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to acquire)
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to acquire)
