After School Club Leader (Etchingham CoE Primary School)
Hours of work: 12.5 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays, 15:00 pm – 17:30 pm
Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
(As the position is part-time & term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)
Fixed term: September 2026 - 21 July 2027

Etchingham CE Primary School is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Coordinator to lead our after school sessions, starting in September, 2026.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Creating a safe, nurturing and fun environment for children aged 4–11
- Leading child-led activities and supporting homework during Session 1 (15:15–16:15pm)
- Overseeing relaxed, free-flow play and providing healthy snacks during Session 2 (16:15–17:15pm)
- Working closely with school staff and families to ensure high-quality care

What We’re Looking For:
- A positive, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:
- Experience working with primary-aged children in a school or childcare setting
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to train)
- Knowledge of wraparound care or similar provision
Any offer will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations. If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
