AFTER SCHOOL ENERGY SITE SUPERVISORS
(4 Positions Available)

Hours: 9-10 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3:00pm-5:00pm
Wednesday – 12:45pm-3:15pm, 1pm-3:30pm, 1:35-3:55pm depending on school
Program runs September 14, 2026 – May 21, 2027
Salary: $20.75 per hour
Open: July 25, 2026
Closes: Open until filled
Duties: Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, After School Energy site supervisors organize and lead daily activities for children in grades K-5th. After School Energy consists of approximately 20-30 participants and 2 youth leaders. Duties include but are not limited to supervising staff, organizing and leading daily activities, and developing positive supportive relationships with participants, parents, and other department staff. Activities include group games, sports, arts and crafts.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age; Applicants are subject to a Sterling background check. Must have First Aid/CPR certification prior to program start date.
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more of experience working with children in recreation, teaching, or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old; experience in supervising staff, ability to live by Kent Parks mission of “Dedicated to Enriching Lives” and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
