Description
On behalf of our private client, we are seeking a reliable, organised and educationally-minded After-School Nanny/Governess for a family in Kensington with two school-aged children aged 8 and 10. The role is mainly afternoon and evening during term time, with full days during school holidays. The family home has two cats, so comfort around pets is important.
Working Hours
- Term time (36 weeks): Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 7:30pm (25 hours per week)
- School holidays (14 weeks): Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Duties Include
- Arriving ahead of school pick-up to prepare fresh, healthy meals and organise activities
- Collecting both children from school (a 15-minute walk from the home)
- Supervising homework and reading, with a focus on 11+ preparation for the 10-year-old
- Engaging the children in educational and recreational activities
- Supporting the children's evening routine
- During school holidays: providing full-day care including outings, activities, meal preparation and maintaining routines
- Being comfortable around the family's two cats
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have strong experience working with school-aged children
- Be confident supervising and supporting homework, particularly 11+ exam preparation
- Be organised, proactive and reliable
- Have a calm, warm and engaging approach
- Have excellent English, both written and spoken
- Be comfortable around pets
