Aftermarket Business Development Executive

Reports to: Parts Sales Manager

Direct Reports: None

Location: Elland

Purpose Of The Role

To identify opportunities in the supply of the aftermarket support of specialist parts and services. The promotion of aftersales (service and parts) is key to new and existing customers. To increase business opportunities by identifying new markets and analysis of competitor offers. Maintain and build relationships with existing customers whilst identifying additional opportunities.

Responsibilities

Analysis of Sales data for Aftersales opportunities. Identify sales promotion opportunities for additional sales lines. Review of current Parts and Service customer base for additional opportunities. Identify Parts lines not currents purchased by key customers to determine reasons. Negotiation of new contracts for services provided. Negotiate and settle renewable business such as contract Over Hours and R&M extensions. Meeting with customers to discuss future requirements. Improve communication with regular customer reviews. Proactively working with Service & Parts team to ensure a consistent service through customer feedback. Review competitor offerings to identify sales opportunities. Review telematics log to identify opportunities for future work (telematics as selling tool). Prepare customer quotations and associated documentation. Provide regular updates on market news and competitor information. Upload quotes, activity etc on to the company CRM system on a regular basis. Building strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Understanding of local area. Assist parts & service with potential business opportunities. Provide high quality, accurate and in-depth knowledge of where the competition is operating. Provide activity reports as requested. Ensure that all administration is completed on time, accurately and in line with set processes and procedures. Be responsible for managing your own time efficiently. To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented. Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.

The ability to efficiently plan and manage your own territory activity The ability to work under pressure. Communications skills, both verbal and in writing, together with the ability to communicate at all levels. High attention to detail & analytical mind set. Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships. Ability to manage own workload independently and prioritise tasks. Excellent organisation and prioritising skills. Strong negotiation skills. Project management skills. Self-motivational with the ability to challenge the status quo, and research and offer suggestions for improving efficiency or customer experience.

Critical Knowledge Required

Specific equipment / parts training will be provided by Terberg DTS. Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications And Experience Required

Proven new business sales experience in a similar role. Excellent demonstrated negotiating skills. Flexible approach to hours and travel (some nights away will be required). Self-motivated and desire to achieve set goals. Clean UK driving licence.
