Aftersales & Service Engineer UK (m/f/d)

After Sales & Service Engineer (m/f/d) for High Pressure Waterjet Cutting Systems

About the Role

KMT Waterjet, part of the SHAPE Technologies group, is seeking an After Sales & Service Engineer (m/f/d) within the EMEA region, with a focus on the UK market. Our electro-hydraulic high-pressure pumps and accessories have set industry standards for over fifty years.

As a sales and service company, KMT employs approximately 70 employees across Europe, UAE, and India, delivering solutions directly to customers in waterjet cutting technology.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform service work, including:
    • Preventative maintenance
    • Machine inspections
    • New installations at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve machine failures both onsite and remotely via telephone
  • Provide technical support to KMT customers, ensuring proactive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Promote sales of KMT spare parts and maintenance programmes
  • Uphold the professional image of KMT’s technical service department and genuine product brand
  • Be prepared for frequent travel, including overnight stays and time away from home as required
  • Build long-term, trust-based customer relationships through consistent service, sales, and courteous interaction

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical education in mechanics and/or electronics (preferably measured engineering)
  • Electrical qualification is preferred but not mandatory
  • Practical experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering
  • Customer-focused personality with a professional, positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel, with availability for extended periods away from home
  • Valid driving license is an essential requirement
  • Fluency in English for internal and customer communication. Additional foreign language skills are advantageous
