Who We Are Mumsnet is the UK’s leading community for parents, with unparalleled trust and influence and a highly engaged, loyal user base. We’re purpose-driven, placing our users at the heart of everything we do and we’re committed to sustainable growth and fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive and have fun. Mumsnet is on a mission to help make parents’ lives easier. With 8 million monthly users, we’re one of the UK’s most trusted and influential media platforms. Brands and agencies come to us because we understand families better than anyone else, and we’re looking for a brilliant Agency Partnerships Executive to help us grow those relationships even further. The Role This is a brilliant role for someone early in their media career who is ready to step up, own a patch, and become a great seller. You’ll join our agency sales team reporting to the Head of Agency Sales, with two clear remits. First, you will own a defined patch of independent agencies, building relationships with planners and buyers, responding to briefs, developing tailored proposals and driving revenue against a quarterly target. This is your patch to grow. Second, you will support senior colleagues across the team with the major holding group accounts contributing to briefs, building proposal decks, attending agency meetings and learning how the most senior commercial relationships in the market get managed. This is a role with real autonomy from day one and a clear path of progression for high performers. You will be selling one of the most trusted brands in UK media, with a market-leading audience proposition and a commercial team that will invest in helping you become brilliant at your job. What You’ll Be Doing Build and maintain strong working relationships with planners, buyers and senior contacts at a defined patch of independent media agencies. Respond to briefs and RFPs with tailored, audience-led proposals that win business and build long-term agency advocacy. Proactively brief and re-brief agencies on Mumsnet’s proposition, audience and capabilities, generate demand, don’t just respond to it. Own pipeline end to end for your patch: prospecting, qualification, response, negotiation, close and renewal. Hit (and beat) a quarterly revenue target. Support senior account leads on the major holding groups - contributing to brief responses, proposal decks and pitch preparation. Attend agency meetings alongside senior colleagues and start building your own contacts within the holding group ecosystem. Learn from the team how senior commercial relationships are managed at the highest level, and apply those lessons back to your own patch. Develop a deep working knowledge of how media agencies plan and buy, and how Mumsnet fits into that picture. Stay close to parenting trends, category news and competitor activity so you can bring sharp, proactive ideas to your patch. Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, pipeline discipline and accurate forecast inputs. Embed AI in your workflow to improve account research, audience insight, proposal development and pipeline management. Collaborate closely with Planning, Editorial, Product and Marketing to shape compelling, differentiated proposals. We care most about drive, intellectual sharpness and the desire to become a great seller. Tenure matters less than trajectory, we want to back someone who is going to outperform their experience level. Essential 1–2 years’ experience in a media sales role (publisher / platform) or in a media agency (planning, buying, account management). Solid fundamental media knowledge: how agencies plan and buy, what a media plan is, comfort talking about CPMs, audience targeting and campaign metrics. Genuinely ambitious, you want to be a great seller and have the drive to get there fast. Self-starter mindset, you don’t wait to be told what to do, and you take ownership of outcomes. Strong communicator who is comfortable building relationships face-to-face with agency contacts. Commercial mindset, comfortable with numbers, pricing and prioritisation. Operational discipline: CRM hygiene, follow-through and accurate forecasting. Wants to sell a brand they are proud of, clear alignment with Mumsnet’s purpose and values. Desirable Existing relationships at planner or buyer level at independent media agencies. Exposure to parenting, FMCG, retail, grocery or health categories. Fluency with AI tools to enhance research, proposals and productivity. Experience working in a scale-up or entrepreneurial media business. What This Role Is Not It is also not a passive desk role. You’ll be expected to hustle, to own your patch and to drive outcomes with autonomy from day one and a clear path of progression for high performers. Salary: £35,000 Hybrid working — 2 days in the London office (Wednesday & Thursday) 10 Weeks Work from Anywhere ChatGPT Pro Account for AI learning Real autonomy and ownership from day one The chance to work on projects that shape how one of the UK's best-known digital brands operates Buy More Holiday Scheme — Sometimes 25 days just isn't enough Cycle2Work Scheme* Employee Assistance Programme Mumsnet Workplace Pension Scheme Electric Vehicle Scheme* Leisure & Retail Perks via Perkbox BUPA Private Medical or Dental Cover* Enhanced Parental Leave Monthly Team Social Events Annual Team Bonus Opportunities Benefits with an asterisk are eligible upon successful completion of probationary period.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
