Agent Operations Lead
The Role We are looking for an Agent Operations Lead to help Geordie become one of the most effective agent-native companies in the world. Your role is to identify where AI agents can meaningfully expand the operational capacity of the business, build the systems and workflows that make that possible, and enable teams across the company to leverage agents effectively themselves. We are scaling quickly, but there is the ability to build from the ground up without technical debt. This is a highly hands-on role. You will work across business functions to understand how work we want to get work done, identify friction and scaling bottlenecks, and then design, build, and operationalise agentic workflows that improve speed, quality, and leverage across the company. You should be deeply curious about how modern agent systems behave in practice: what architectures work, which tools fail under pressure, how multi-agent systems coordinate effectively, and where humans should remain in the loop. We expect you to constantly experiment with the latest tooling, orchestration patterns, and workflows to determine what delivers real-world operational value. You will also use Geordie internally to better understand and improve our own agent operations, while feeding product insights and operational learnings back into the company as we build the category-defining platform for understanding and governing AI agents. What You’ll Do Work directly with teams across the business to understand operational workflows, identify bottlenecks, and determine where AI agents can create meaningful leverage. Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows, automations, and multi-agent systems that improve operational efficiency and expand business capacity without proportional headcount growth. Rapidly prototype and evaluate new AI tooling, orchestration frameworks, models, and architectures to determine what works best in practice. Enable teams across the company to build and operate agents themselves by establishing best practices, reusable workflows, patterns, and operational guidance. Build internal systems using tools and ecosystems such as Claude Code/Cowork/Managed Agents, OpenAI Codex, n8n, Zapier, LangGraph, MCPs, Skills, Plugins, and other emerging agentic tooling. Continuously reevaluate workflows, architectures, and tooling choices as the ecosystem evolves, remaining highly adaptive to new capabilities and approaches. Work closely with Engineering, Product, GTM, Operations, and Leadership teams to ensure agent systems are aligned with real business outcomes. Use Geordie internally to better understand our own agent operations, evaluate risk and visibility challenges firsthand, and provide feedback that influences product direction. Help establish Geordie as a showcase agent-native company by demonstrating how agents can responsibly and effectively augment real business operations. Contribute externally where relevant through customer discussions, enablement sessions, thought leadership, or sharing operational best practices around agent adoption. What We’re Looking For The most important thing in this role is genuine curiosity and hands-on experimentation with AI agents and operational systems. You are constantly testing new tools, orchestration approaches, and workflows to understand what creates meaningful leverage versus what is simply hype. You think in systems. You enjoy understanding how businesses operate, identifying inefficiencies, and designing practical solutions that improve how work gets done. You are highly adaptable and comfortable operating in ambiguity. You favour momentum over perfection, iterate quickly, and are capable of balancing experimentation with operational reliability. You are both technical and operationally minded: capable of building systems yourself while also enabling others to adopt and use them effectively. You care deeply about practical outcomes. If something does not improve speed, quality, leverage, visibility, or operational effectiveness, you question whether it should exist at all. Requirements Hands-on experience building and operating AI agents or multi-agent systems. Strong familiarity with modern agent ecosystems, orchestration frameworks, and tooling including areas such as MCPs, Skills, Plugins, agent memory/context management, and tool orchestration. Experience building operational automations, workflows, or internal systems using platforms such as Claude Code, OpenAI tooling, LangGraph, n8n, Zapier, or equivalent ecosystems. Comfortable writing code and building technical systems independently where required. Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand workflows and operational requirements. Strong communication skills with the ability to enable and guide others in adopting new workflows and tooling. High degree of ownership and bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. Nice to Haves Experience operating inside an AI-native and/or fast-growing, highly technical startup environment. Experience designing operational workflows across GTM, recruiting, customer operations, finance, or other non-engineering functions. Experience evaluating or operating agent governance, observability, or security tooling. Familiarity with AI risk, operational governance, or human-in-the-loop system design. Public writing, experimentation, open-source contributions, or demonstrations related to AI agents or operational systems. Why This Role AI agents are changing how companies operate. We believe the best companies of the next decade will not simply use AI tools, but will fundamentally redesign how work happens around agents. At Geordie, we are building the platform that helps enterprises understand and govern their agent operations. Internally, we also want to become one of the most operationally effective agent-native companies in the world. This role sits directly at the centre of that transformation. You will have the freedom to experiment with the latest technology as it emerges, work across every function in the business, and directly shape how a category-defining company operates in the age of AI agents. Our Values Solve What Matters We listen intently and stay focused on what truly matters to our customers. If it doesn't help them navigate real-world agentic adoption and risk, it's probably not worth building. Build, Learn, Iterate We favour momentum over perfection - testing, learning, and evolving through action. It's how we move fast and get better, together. Kind, Not Comfortable We're honest, respectful, and unafraid to challenge each other. We believe doing great work should feel good, too. Kindness makes that possible. A Platform for Your Best Work We want this to be the most meaningful chapter of your career. Geordie is the place where you grow, lead and lift others, while building something that truly matters.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
