Role Description
The Agentic Technical Lead is a contract role based on-site in London, responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of agentic AI systems that drive measurable business outcomes. Day-to-day, this role coordinates technical discovery with stakeholders, translates business objectives into robust AI architectures, and oversees end-to-end implementation of solutions. The Agentic Technical Lead guides engineers and data specialists, sets technical standards, reviews code and system designs, and ensures performance, reliability, security, and compliance. The role includes evaluating tools and platforms, running experiments and proofs-of-concept, and documenting decisions, risks, and impact for executive audiences. This position also involves mentoring team members, managing delivery timelines, and continuously improving our approach to agentic AI based on real-world results.

- Strong experience leading AI, machine learning, or agentic system design and implementation, including end-to-end solution delivery in production environments.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (such as Python or TypeScript), software engineering best practices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Background in systems architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and data pipelines, with the ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Experience working directly with executive stakeholders, translating business objectives into technical roadmaps, and communicating complex concepts clearly and succinctly.
- Track record of managing technical teams or projects, including setting priorities, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring quality across the development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with AI safety, governance, risk management, and vendor evaluation to avoid lock-in and unmanaged operational or compliance risks.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in London, with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on measurable impact.
- Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience delivering complex AI systems.
