Agile Delivery Manager Contract Role
We are supporting a large and highly recognisable organisation within the media and broadcasting sector that is looking to appoint an experienced Agile Delivery Manager on an initial 16-month contract.
The successful contractor will join a significant technology and systems transformation programme, supporting delivery across the full lifecycle from Discovery through to Build and Close.
This is a hands-on delivery role requiring someone who can work effectively within a development team while also providing clear visibility and assurance to senior programme stakeholders.
The role will suit an Agile Delivery Manager who understands how to apply agile principles pragmatically within a complex programme environment, rather than following a single framework rigidly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a large-scale technology or systems transformation programme
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, workshops and team planning sessions
- Support Discovery phases by helping to define scope, clarify requirements and translate outputs into structured delivery backlogs
- Work closely with Project Managers, Product Managers, technical leads and development teams
- Remain embedded within the development team throughout the Build and Close phases
- Maintain team cadence, delivery momentum and clear ownership of actions
- Identify and manage risks, blockers, issues and dependencies
- Help teams prioritise work and maintain accurate, actionable backlogs
- Translate detailed team backlogs into accessible plans and delivery views for senior stakeholders
- Bridge the gap between agile team delivery and programme-level governance and reporting
- Provide clear updates on progress, risks, milestones and delivery confidence
- Adapt agile ways of working to suit the needs of the programme and delivery environment
- Support continuous improvement across delivery processes and team performance

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
