Business Unit Description
The Digital Services business unit is at the heart of UCAS’ technical innovation, data and infrastructure. It focuses on leveraging data science, technology, and enterprise architecture to enhance UCAS' digital products and services. The unit is dedicated to developing and improving customer-centric digital solutions, ensuring seamless and secure online experiences for all users. By providing insightful data and analysis, often made available to anyone with free-to-use intuitive dashboard, Digital Services empowers the Higher Education sector and those interested in the sector with valuable information to make informed decisions. By working in collaborative, expert led, multi-disciplinary teams, Digital Services drives UCAS’ mission to connect students with their next opportunities through advanced technological solutions.

About The Role
The Agile Delivery Manager is accountable for delivering technical change across multiple products and features, ensuring alignment between agile teams and coordinating delivery activities while providing coaching where needed. They track and report delivery progress to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across product and functional areas.
The role also acts as an Agile coach to senior leaders, stakeholders, and customers, promoting best practice adoption and leading cross-functional delivery and process improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Key Accountabilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and planning activities, ensuring effective and professional delivery
- Maintain a strong focus on value delivery, challenging teams to maximise outcomes
- Identify impediments and drive resolution to support continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Agile Delivery Managers to improve delivery across the organisation
- Promote practices that enhance quality, reduce technical debt, and increase value
- Partner with Product Managers and Owners to refine backlogs, considering priorities and dependencies
- Ensure teams remain focused on Product Goals, Sprint Goals, and Definition of Done
- Manage dependencies and resource conflicts across Agile and business teams
- Track and review Agile metrics, including productivity, velocity, quality, and cost
- Coach teams in self-organisation, collaboration, and cross-functional working

Skills, Qualifications, And Experience
Skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Significant experience of leading and managing multiple cross functional delivery Agile teams
- Scrum Master and/or RTE certified and extensive experience in a previous similar role
- An Agile enthusiast able to flex methodologies according to an organisation and it’s customers needs
- The Gravitas to be able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management and executive
- Demonstrable experience of multiple delivery successes delivering value to clients on time and within budget
- Demonstrable Experience of leading and driving agile delivery transformation across organisations
