Job Opportunity

We are looking for passionate, outgoing and enthusiastic people to help us transform our teams and organisation using Agile ways of working. Salary: £40K to £64K - depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for full time Scrum Masters to join a different and challenging workplace, to help us shape our transformation, and coach teams in Agile ways of working.

As the Scrum Master for the team(s) you will play a pivotal role in coaching, facilitating, mentoring and training the team(s) on their journey to more Agile ways of working. Your work will be focused at delivering value at the team level, whilst collaborating with the wider programme and Agile practice.

You will be expected to assist the team(s) in embedding good delivery practices, helping to optimise value, proactively resolve issues/impediments and coach the team in a complex programme landscape. As our working context is different to the norm, you will need to maintain a pragmatic and flexible approach, helping adapt a wide range of Agile principles and practices to maximise the benefits to the team(s) and programme.

This role would suit an outgoing, proactive and resilient individual who relishes a challenge and is interested in exploring and applying Agile in a unique context. With this in mind, we are keen to find the right person for the role where we can support you, and build your capability to grow within the role and company.

What we're looking for from you:

  • A proactive, passionate and resilient Scrum Master to guide and grow 1 or more teams who are new to Agile or need help with developing Agile ways of working
  • A role model for Agile behaviours with the ability to coach/facilitate/mentor/train others on the Agile mind-set, behaviours, frameworks and practices
  • Experience of leading meetings and workshops, driving actions from them and ensuring they provide value
  • An interest in applying Agile ways of working to a combined hardware and software landscape
  • A keen desire to learn, grow and adapt to a unique working environment that makes a real difference to UK defence and sovereignty

Due to the nature of the work and the need to develop teams, the expectation will be that you are on-site 3-4 days per week.
