Agile Project Manager – Energy Market Transformation (Inside IR35)
London (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)
Contract (Inside IR35)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to support a major energy market transformation programme within a leading organisation in the UK energy sector.
Working across multiple Agile delivery teams, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving the successful delivery of technology and business change initiatives. You'll work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers, and engineering teams to remove delivery blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure value is delivered at pace.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of Agile project workstreams within a complex transformation programme
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where required
- Develop and maintain delivery plans, RAID logs, milestones, and reporting
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Business Analysis, Engineering, Testing, and Business Change
- Track delivery progress, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and delivery milestones
- Work with stakeholders to prioritise work, manage scope, and support successful releases
- Produce regular governance updates and communicate delivery progress to senior stakeholders
- Support implementation, business readiness, and transition into BAU

Experience Required

- Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager delivering complex technology or business transformation programmes
- Essential: Experience within the UK energy market, ideally across electricity markets, market reform, settlement, flexibility services, or regulatory change
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) and experience working alongside Product Owners and Agile delivery teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both business and technical teams
- Experience managing delivery risks, dependencies, budgets, and third-party suppliers
- Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
