The Role
£28k per annum
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our team and take ownership of the South UK territory. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for achieving and exceeding your area’s sales plan by developing strong relationships with farmers and merchant sales reps.
This is a field-based role requiring regular farm visits, dual calling with merchant reps, and proactive engagement with key stakeholders in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve the territory’s sales targets through strategic planning and relationship building. Conduct at least 15 farm visits per month, either solo or with merchant reps. Maintain a forward-planning calendar and update CRM with detailed meeting notes. Analyse sales data to identify trends and propose corrective actions. Support merchants at auction marts and farmers meetings. Attend key national and regional agricultural shows. Deliver presentations and build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders. Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, customer service, and technical support.

What We’re Looking For
Knowledge & Experience:
Strong understanding of livestock farming. Practical experience through education or hands-on farming work. Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis.
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong time management and IT proficiency (especially PowerPoint and Excel). Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and customer-focused. Able to multitask and deliver creative, flexible solutions.
