AI Agent Enablement Lead
AI Agent Enablement Lead (Inside IR35) – 6 Month Contract Hybrid (3 days per week in London) | The Ministry of Justice
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is seeking an AI Agent Enablement Lead to drive the adoption of AI agents across its workforce. The MoJ’s mission focuses on enhancing public safety, reducing reoffending through prison and probation reforms, and delivering a transparent, efficient justice system for all citizens.
About the Role
Project professionals at the MoJ play a critical role in transforming the government’s ability to protect the public, reduce reoffending, and ensure equitable access to justice.
As an AI Agent Enablement Lead, you will:
- Lead adoption and integration of AI agents across the MoJ’s internal workforce.
- Identify high-value AI use cases, supporting automation of workflows and transformational business processes.
- Provide hands-on support to teams developing/implementing AI agents, custom GPTs, Copilot solutions, and automation tools.
- Develop reusable templates, prompts, and governance frameworks to accelerate safe and scalable AI deployment.
- Collaborate with digital, data science, product, and operational teams to implement best practices in agent design, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Establish responsible AI policies, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and ethical AI deployment.
- Measure impact by tracking adoption, productivity gains, stakeholder satisfaction, and ROI.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, monitoring innovations from Microsoft, OpenAI, Google, and emerging agent platforms.

Responsibilities
- Bridge technology and business domains by translating challenges into AI-enabled solutions.
- Engage with non-technical stakeholders to promote adoption and drive buy-in.
- Work with hybrid teams across product, infrastructure, and solution domains.
- Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous learning in emerging AI tools.
,# Essential Requirements The following experience must be demonstrated: ✅ Hands-on expertise with designing/deploying AI assistants, agents, workflow automation tools, or custom GPTs (using platforms like no-code/low-code tools, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, etc.). ✅ Proven track record in leading digital/innovation/artificial intelligence adoption programmes. ✅ Strong grasp of process improvement and organisational change strategies. ✅ LLM/AI proficiency, with practical experience (e.g., LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering). ✅ Stakeholder management skills to align technical solutions with business needs. ✅ Analytical mindset to measure and communicate AI impact (e.g., KPIs, business outcomes). ✅ Ability to collaborate across technical/non-technical teams, including non-specialists. ✅ Proactive learning orientation — willingness to enhance technical skills (including coding in AI contexts).

✅ Specific technical requirements:
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI solutions (or similar).
Additional Notes
Location & Contract:
- Role must be performed within the UK (not overseas).
- All rates reflect IR35 legislation — payment quotations must account for taxes and statutory reliefs (potential difference between intermediary payment and personal earnings).
