Careers at TCS: It Means More

TCS is a purpose-led transformation company, built on belief. We go beyond helping businesses transform through technology—we enable them to make a meaningful difference to the people and communities they serve. Our clients include leading organizations across the UK and globally. At TCS, it means more—more opportunity to make an impact that matters through challenging projects that demand innovation, collaboration, and thought leadership.

  • Play a strategic role in transforming business and technology delivery through AI-first engineering practices.
  • Shape the adoption of AI across software development, IT service delivery, and business transformation programmes.
  • Lead innovation initiatives that drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and business outcomes.

The Role

As an AI Architect, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of AI-first software engineering practices across enterprise environments. You will combine deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and business acumen to transform traditional development approaches through AI-augmented delivery models. Working closely with business leaders, architects, and engineering teams, you will identify transformation opportunities, define adoption roadmaps, and drive measurable outcomes through the effective use of AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess software engineering ecosystems to identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation across tools, processes, architecture, team capabilities, and operating models.
  • Develop transformation roadmaps aligned with business goals, technology strategies, and measurable success metrics.
  • Design and implement AI-first software development practices, including AI-assisted and agentic software delivery approaches.
  • Evaluate and leverage AI-powered development tools, IDEs, and agent orchestration platforms to enhance engineering productivity.
  • Define and implement Spec-Driven Development (SDD), AI governance models, testing frameworks, and engineering standards.
  • Establish AI guardrails, quality controls, and responsible AI practices across the software development lifecycle.
  • Design AI-enabled architectures and operating models that support scalable and secure enterprise solutions.
  • Drive adoption of AI technologies across development, testing, DevOps, and operational processes.
  • Lead proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and innovation initiatives to demonstrate business value and accelerate adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical improvements into measurable business outcomes such as productivity gains, cost reduction, quality improvements, and faster time-to-market.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams on AI-first delivery practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
