AI Architect / Engineer (Agentic AI & LLM Architecture)
Senior AI Architect / Engineer – Talan Data x AI
Company Description
Talan Data x AI is a leading Data Management and Analytics consultancy, working closely with top software vendors and industry experts across various sectors. We help businesses unlock the value and insights hidden in their data through innovative processes and cutting-edge technologies, such as Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Job Description
As our AI practice scales, we are seeking an experienced AI Architect / Engineer to act as the senior technical authority, shaping the design and delivery of next-generation AI solutions. This role is for someone who understands moving beyond individual model building to architecting entire systems, including:
- Agentic platforms
- LLM-powered applications
- Production infrastructure for enterprise-scale reliability
You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and delivery, managing multiple client engagements simultaneously. In the early phases, you’ll shape solutions, validate technical approaches, and translate ambiguous business problems into robust, deployable architectures. As engagements mature, you’ll ensure technical oversight to keep delivery teams aligned with the original design intent. Your influence will be evident in pre-sales conversations, solution blueprints, and the technical standards defining our practice’s delivery.
This is a hands-on architectural role—not a purely advisory one. You’ll need to maintain a strong connection to code, prototype where necessary to accelerate decisions, and set a credible technical example for the engineers and data scientists you guide.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
