AI Assurance Consultant

Digital Futures is seeking an AI Assurance Consultant. They will own the frameworks, standards and practices that ensure AI solutions are safe, secure, ethical and compliant. The role provides second-line challenge and guidance across AI initiatives, working closely with security, engineering, data and transformation teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain AI assurance frameworks covering risk, safety, fairness, robustness, explainability, privacy and compliance.
  • Partner with product and engineering leads to integrate assurance activities into the AI lifecycle from design through to operation.
  • Oversee risk assessments and impact assessments for AI use cases, including in regulated or high-stakes domains.
  • Work with AI Security Analysts and platform teams to ensure secure-by-design architectures and controls for AI systems.
  • Provide clear, actionable guidance to clients on responsible AI practices and emerging standards or regulations.
  • Report on AI risk posture and assurance outcomes to internal and client stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in risk, assurance, compliance, security, data ethics or related fields, ideally applied to AI, analytics or digital products.
  • Good understanding of AI and data technologies and the associated risk landscape.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards, frameworks or regulatory trends related to AI, data protection and security.
  • Experience designing or operating governance frameworks across multiple products or programmes.
  • Ability to balance risk mitigation with business value and innovation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
