AI & Automation Apprenticeships Tutor / AI Training Specialist
Salary: £45,000–£50,000
Location: Hybrid/Remote (Northern England with some travel for on site deliver, minimal expectations around once per month, all expenses paid

The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for an Ofsted-rated “Good” national training provider known for high-quality delivery, strong learner outcomes and a supportive culture. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering and shaping AI & Automation apprenticeship programmes, including the Level 4 AI & Automation Practitioner, helping learners and employers apply AI in real workplace contexts.
The Role
You’ll design, deliver and assess apprenticeship programmes while coaching learners through their full journey—from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).
You’ll support apprentices developing skills in AI technologies, automation tools and data-driven decision-making, while also working with employers to embed AI into business processes.

Programme Focus
You’ll support delivery across key topic areas including:
- AI ethics, governance, security and data protection
- Process improvement and automation opportunities
- Human-centred AI design and change management
- No-code / low-code tools and workflow automation
- Data-driven decision making and AI implementation
- Stakeholder engagement and influencing
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging AI and digital apprenticeship training (virtual, group and 1:1) This may include some delivery on client sites
- Coach and mentor learners, supporting progress and timely completion
- Conduct reviews with learners and employers and prepare for EPA
- Support portfolio development and evidence gathering
- Embed Microsoft 365, Copilot and automation tools into delivery
- Design and improve curriculum content and learning resources
- Support employers to adopt AI and identify skills gaps
- Ensure compliance with ESFA funding and Ofsted standards

About You
Essential:
- Experience or strong knowledge of AI, automation and digital technologies
- Apprenticeship delivery, coaching or assessor experience
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (Copilot knowledge desirable)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage remote learners and caseloads effectively
- Level 2 English & Maths and full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Teaching or assessor qualification (AET, CAVA, TAQA)
- Experience with Level 3 or Level 4 digital/AI apprenticeships
- Knowledge of Power Platform, Copilot Studio or automation tools
- Understanding of apprenticeship standards and funding rules
