The role
We’re now looking for a motivated & experienced AI & Automation Engineer to join the Jensten Group. Ideally based from the Oldham or Manchester area (with hybrid working options), you’ll be working in our JenTech Division- in the Data & Technology team. Reporting to the IT Director, the main purpose of the role is designing, building, and deploying AI-driven workflows, automation solutions, and intelligent agents across the organisation. Operating in a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) model, the role works directly with business teams to deliver practical AI and automation use cases from concept through to production, using technologies such as Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, workflow automation tools, and modern AI development tooling. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:
Design and deliver end-to-end AI and automation solutions Enable AI-driven interactions that can take action across systems Develop and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate, Logic Apps, or similar Optimise workflows for reliability and performance Enable AI-ready datasets and integrate data into workflows Support data-driven decision making and process optimisation Design and implement API-based integrations across business systems Build internal tools, scripts, and automation components Translate business problems into deliverable technical solutions Ensure solutions comply with security, data protection, and governance standards
About You

Insurance or Financial Services background (ideally) Experience building automation or workflow solutions Strong understanding of APIs, MCP and system integration Experience with AI / LLM platforms Programming/scripting capability (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell or similar) Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience with Copilot Studio or similar orchestration platforms Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform / Azure automation tools Exposure to Claude Code or AI-assisted development tools Understanding of MCP or agent-based architectures Experience building AI agents or conversational workflows
