About Us

At National Grid, we keep people connected and society moving. But it’s so much more than that. National Grid supplies us with the environment to make it happen. As we generate momentum in the energy transition for all, we don’t plan on leaving any of our customers in the dark. So, join us as an AI Business Engagement Lead and find your superpower.

National Grid is hiring a AI Business Engagement Lead.

This role operates under a hybrid working model and is based out of the Warwick, UK office. Hybrid work expectations are subject to business needs and company policy.

About The Role

The AI Engagement Lead is responsible for helping NGET identify, shape, prioritise and realise value from Artificial Intelligence opportunities across the organisation.

Operating within NGET's federated operating model, the postholder acts as the link between central Data & AI capability and business-led demand, helping teams translate AI opportunities into clearly defined, governed and value-focused initiatives.

The role works closely with AI Business Leads, AI Catalysts, Product Line Directors and delivery teams to support AI adoption, use-case development and value realisation. It complements existing governance, product and technical delivery functions and does not replace formal product ownership, architecture, engineering or Data Science responsibilities. Current AI enablement structures include AI Business Leads as local adoption leaders and AI Catalysts as peer champions supporting AI uptake across NGET.

This role will:

  • Lead discovery and engagement activities to identify AI opportunities.
  • Convert business needs into structured AI use cases.
  • Administer our AI Catalyst and AI Business Leads networks.
  • Maintain a qualified pipeline of AI opportunities and support prioritisation.
  • Support adoption, benefit tracking and value realisation.
  • Promote responsible AI practices and early risk identification.
  • Connect business demand with Product, Architecture, Data & AI and delivery teams.
  • Capture and share lessons learned, reusable patterns and adoption insights.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
