ML Data Associate (Fixed Term, 12 Months Contract) – London Office
Location: London, Contract Type: Fixed-term (12 months) – 5 days in-office per week

Key Responsibilities
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Maintain strict privacy protocols to protect customer data as our top priority.
- Multimodal Data Handling: Process text, speech, audio, image, and video data with consistency and precision.
- Quality Data Creation: Generate high-quality labelled data using workplace tools and guidelines to meet Amazon’s KPIs for responsible AI development.
- Versatile Modalities: Demonstrate expertise in text, image, video, and audio analysis for human insights.
- Critical Thinking: Apply sound judgment to make logical decisions despite ambiguous or incomplete information.
- Adaptable Focus: Swiftly transition between task categories, sustaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Daily Support & Team Collaboration: Meet operational deliverables on specified tasks for yourself and the wider team.
- Quality Assurance: Analyze error patterns, identify root causes, and suggest improvements to workflow and labeling outputs.
- Operational Problem-Solving: Spot and escalate process inefficiencies in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), tools, and tool changes to remove roadblocks.
- Query Resolution: Offer proactive clarification for internal queries during task execution.

A Day in the Life
As an ML Data Associate, you will focus on foundational labeling functions such as:
- Dialogue and content evaluation for text, speech, audio and video datasets.
- Ensuring concentrating attention and multi-tasking while upholding strict confidentiality and adhering to Amazon’s security policies.
- Delivering high-quality, usable outputs tailored to generative AI innovation projects.
- Collaborating in a dynamic, diverse team with a shared commitment to advancing practical and impactful AI solutions.
Your creativity, creativity, analytical ability and adaptability will be essential assets in this environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Education or Experience:
- An Associate’s Degree or relevant professional experience.
- Language Proficiencies:
- Dutch (CEFR C1+) written and spoken (enzensty).
- English (CEFR B2+) written and spoken.
- Communication Skills:
- Exceptional business-writing capabilities to draft reports, proposals, and correspondence professionally.
- Analytical & Technological Proficiencies:
- Advanced document comprehension to analyze complex business texts.
- Developed analytical thinking with structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpretation/instruction skills to implement detailed directives across projects.
- Proven attention to detail in handling complex tasks and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, data, AI, linguistics).
- Technical & Operational Acumen:
- Demonstrated ability in task execution (e.g., proof of high-quality focus, execution success).
- Research & Adaptability:
- Capable of leveraging open-source tools/resources for comprehensive research purposes.
- Adaptability to fast-chalted¹ work environments where direction, strategy, and priorities shift frequently.
- Project & Stakeholder Management:
- Experience coordinating or managing support functions/teams.
- Expertise in building effective cross-departmental stakeholder relationships.
- Technical Tools:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard business applications.
