About the Role

The AI and Data Engineer will design, build, and operate data pipelines, AI-enabled data products, and data solutions for analytics, automation, and enterprise AI solutions within the AI and Innovation department. This role bridges data engineering excellence with hands-on AI engineering expertise, ensuring scalable, secure, and governed solutions.

The AI and Innovation department supports global business platforms through robust AI services, governance of self-managed business applications, and innovation across Asia, the Americas, and other regions. This team balances operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and strategic transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Data Products

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and reusable data assets for analytics, automation, and AI use cases.
  • Implement data models, transformations, and AI-friendly serving patterns for consistency, reusability, data quality, and performance.
  • Apply Lakehouse/medallion architecture, metadata enrichment, and standardised APIs for data ingestion, storage, and serving.
  • Ensure resilience, observability, cost-efficiency, and maintainability in production environments.

AI Engineering & Solution Delivery

  • Develop AI-powered components using retrieval-augmented generation, RAG patterns, embeddings, vector search, and agentic AI architectures.
  • Build and productionise AI solutions leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure AI, M365 Copilot, Power Platform).
  • Integrate AI solutions into enterprise systems while maintaining operational resilience and disaster recovery compliance.
  • Design secure AI-facing data services with governance, auditability, and privacy controls.
  • Document solutions (designs, runbooks, tests) following AI/data engineering best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
