- AI Data Engineer - Snowflake Cortex - Contractor

We're looking for a contractor to join us on a 6 month basis for a project working in the financial services sector to help build their AI Enablement on their data platform using Snowflake Cortex.

In this role you'll

Enable AI capabilities on the Data 4.0 platform using Snowflake Cortex Build AI-ready datasets and semantic-ready data products Support use cases such as metric intelligence, anomaly detection and AI-assisted analysis Help define reusable implementation patterns for Snowflake Cortex use cases Work with Analytics Engineering to expose trusted metrics and governed datasets for AI use cases Support future AI/agentic capabilities such as monitoring agents, recommended actions and personalised insights Document implementation patterns, assumptions and platform considerations Ensure AI enablement aligns with data quality, access and governance standards

The skills we need: Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Experience or good working knowledge of Snowflake Cortex / Snowflake AI capabilities Strong SQL and data engineering skills Experience preparing AI-ready datasets and semantic-ready data products Understanding of data modelling, metrics and business-friendly data layers Python experience is desirable Understanding of AI-assisted analytics, metric intelligence or agentic use cases is desirable Awareness of data governance, access control and responsible AI considerations Ability to work with platform, analytics engineering and analytics stakeholders
