AI Delivery Lead (Contract) | Outside IR35
Location: London (2 days onsite) Rate: £800 - £1100 per day Contract Length: Initial 6-Month Contract IR35 Status: Outside IR35
We are partnering with a fast-growing consulting business at the forefront of AI-enabled transformation within the M&A and Private Equity ecosystem.
As an AI Delivery Lead, you will play a critical role in helping clients identify, prioritise, and deliver AI initiatives that create measurable business value across transactions, integrations, carve-outs, and portfolio company transformations.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a blend of AI expertise, consulting experience, stakeholder management, and delivery excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of AI and GenAI programmes for clients across multiple industries.
- Working with C-suite stakeholders, investment teams, and portfolio company leadership to define AI strategies and implementation roadmaps.
- Translating business challenges into scalable AI solutions with clear commercial outcomes.
- Managing multidisciplinary teams including data scientists, engineers, architects, and product specialists.
- Overseeing the successful deployment of AI solutions from concept through to adoption and value realisation.
- Supporting AI opportunities arising from M&A activity, due diligence, integration programmes, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring delivery governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment throughout engagements.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading the delivery of AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, or GenAI programmes.
- Consulting experience within a leading consultancy or specialist advisory firm.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing complex transformation programmes and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Solid understanding of modern AI technologies, LLMs, GenAI use cases, and enterprise AI implementation.
- Excellent commercial awareness and ability to connect technology outcomes to business value.

Highly Desirable
- Experience within M&A, Private Equity, Transaction Services, or Value Creation environments.
- Exposure to post-merger integration, carve-outs, or portfolio transformation programmes.
- Experience delivering AI solutions in highly regulated or complex enterprise environments.
