AI Developer (Microsoft Ecosystem) – Remote (UK-Based)

This AI Developer role is offered through a partner company managing applications and next steps. They are seeking an AI Developer based in the United Kingdom to work remotely, specialised in building scalable AI-driven solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.

About the Role

This remote AI Developer position focuses on designing and delivering intelligent, scalable AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI, and Microsoft 365 services. You’ll bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, leveraging generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and modern AI agent technologies to enhance automation and digital experiences.

Ideal for developers who enjoy AI innovation, integration work, and hands-on engineering in enterprise settings. Your work will directly contribute to measurable business automation through cutting-edge AI-powered tools.


Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions using:

    • Microsoft Copilot Studio
    • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)
    • Azure AI (services like Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services)
    • Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Graph API)
  • Copilot Studio Expertise:

    • Build and configure co-pilot agents (workflows, prompts, custom skills, connectors, human handoffs)
    • Develop LLM-based applications with techniques like:
      • Prompt engineering
      • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
      • Knowledge grounding
    • Optimise LLM interaction flows for accuracy, performance, and scalability

  • Integrations:

    • Develop integrations with enterprise systems (SharePoint, Dataverse, REST APIs, Teams, Graph API)
    • Connect AI solutions with third-party platforms and legacy systems
  • Solution Architecture:

    • Collaborate on technical designs for scalable, maintainable AI implementations
    • Align with solution architects, consultants, and stakeholders to define requirements
  • Client & Team Collaboration:

    • Partner with clients and cross-functional teams to identify AI/automation opportunities
    • Deliver high-impact solutions tailored to business needs
  • Maintenance & Oversight:

    • Test, debug, document, and optimise AI-driven applications
    • Continuously adapt to Microsoft’s AI advancements to deliver innovative solutions

Requirements

Essential:

✅ Proven experience as a:

  • AI Developer
  • Chatbot Developer
  • Power Platform Specialist
  • Technical Consultant (Microsoft-based)
  • Or equivalent software development background

✅ Hands-on experience with:

  • Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform (e.g., Copilot Studio Studio, Power Apps, Dataverse)
  • Generative AI and LLMs (applying RAG, prompt engineering, context grounding)
  • Enterprise integrations (REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, authentication, SharePoint, Teams)

✅ Technical skills:

  • Programming languages: JavaScript, C#, Python, or equivalent
  • APIs & cloud services: Azure AI, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 APIs
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical reasoning

Preferred:

🚀 Experience in consulting or client-facing environments 🚀 Knowledge of scaling AI models for enterprise use 🚀 Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
