AI Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Developer based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to design and build advanced AI-powered solutions that improve how teams operate and make data-driven decisions.
You will work with large-scale behavioral and operational datasets to create intelligent platforms, automation systems, and AI-driven workflows.
The position combines AI engineering, machine learning, data processing, and product thinking to deliver solutions with measurable business impact.
You will contribute to the full lifecycle of AI projects, from exploring data and selecting models to deploying reliable production systems.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will transform complex technical challenges into practical tools used by real users.

Accountabilities
- Build AI-powered internal tools and data-driven systems that enhance analytics, reporting, workflow automation, and decision-making processes.
- Develop AI and machine learning platforms capable of processing and analyzing large-scale operational and behavioral data.
- Design and implement RAG systems, LLM-powered features, and agent-based workflows that generate actionable insights.
- Create scalable data pipelines to collect, transform, and serve complex datasets efficiently.
- Prototype, test, and deploy AI solutions that improve internal processes and reduce manual effort.
- Evaluate and select appropriate AI models, frameworks, and infrastructure while balancing performance, cost, and scalability.
- Develop clean, reliable, and production-ready Python applications with strong testing, monitoring, and error-handling practices.
- Build and maintain APIs and services that integrate AI capabilities into business workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tools that provide real value.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and introduce innovative approaches to improve existing systems.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and support collaboration across development teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience building and deploying AI/ML systems in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python, including software engineering best practices such as testing, packaging, type hints, and asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies, including building RAG pipelines.
- Experience working with vector databases and embedding technologies such as Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS, Qdrant, or equivalent solutions.
- Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including model evaluation, fine-tuning decisions, and prompt engineering strategies.
- Experience developing and deploying APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience processing large datasets using technologies such as SQL, pandas, Spark, or comparable tools.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to quickly iterate on ideas while maintaining high-quality, maintainable code.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex production issues.
- Ability to simplify complex systems and create scalable solutions.
- Experience working remotely with strong communication, organization, and self-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Availability for collaboration during agreed working hours and participation in virtual meetings.

Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable
- Experience with model fine-tuning techniques such as PEFT, LoRA, or QLoRA, as well as model quantization.
- Experience building multi-agent systems using frameworks such as CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of MLOps practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and experiment tracking.
- Experience with platforms such as Databricks, AWS SageMaker, or other machine learning environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects, technical publications, research, or engineering blogs.
- Familiarity with SaaS products, WordPress ecosystems, PHP, or customer-focused product development.
- Experience building internal platforms used daily by non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol), function calling, structured outputs, or similar LLM integration approaches.
