The Role:
Are you a high-level technical builder ready to orchestrate the next generation of AI innovation for the world’s most forward-thinking racing series? We are looking for an AI Enablement Engineer to join the Formula E team. This isn't just a backend coding role; it is a mission-critical position where you will serve as the primary architect bridging the gap between raw data systems and user-facing requirements, ensuring our internal teams have the cutting-edge AI tools they need to operate at peak performance.
You will be the vital bridge between advanced technical capabilities and our non-technical business departments. You will balance meticulous cloud governance and security with high-velocity prototyping, ensuring that while the action unfolds on the track, our internal operations run on seamless, secure and scalable automated systems that uphold the brand's global edge.
Custom Agent & App Engineering:
- You don't just write scripts; you own the application lifecycle. You work directly with cross-functional teams to map business logic, prototype solutions and build functional web applications, software agents and automated technical workflows using Python.
- From constructing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to integrating LLM environments like Vertex AI with internal databases, you build tools that actively transform how we work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- By maintaining highly organised code repositories, API schemas and technical documentation, you ensure our internal AI ecosystem scales smoothly and sustainably.
What we're looking for in you:
The Python & Cloud Craftsman:
- You possess a minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on software development experience with a heavy emphasis on writing clean, production-grade Python.
- You have a proven track record of building and deploying web applications and configuring APIs within public cloud infrastructure, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Vertex AI, Cloud Functions and BigQuery.
The Generative AI Architect:
- You bring a strong understanding of modern LLM frameworks, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, BigQuery Vector Search) and RAG pipeline architectures.
- You know how to integrate advanced AI models into practical, user-facing tools that solve real-world operational bottlenecks.
The Technical Translator:
- You are a collaborative builder with the unique ability to translate manual workflows and non-technical business needs into neat, structured technical requirements and working code.
- You thrive on deep technical consultation, helping stakeholders evaluate model selection, technical feasibility and application design.
