Overview
AI is reshaping how PureGym operates. As one of the largest gym operators in the world, we are looking to evolve how people use gyms and manage gyms. The purpose of this role is to unlock the value of artificial intelligence (AI) across our teams, Head Office functions through to our gym floors, bridging the gap between capability and adoption.
As an AI Enablement Specialist, your job is to make AI work in practice. This includes:
- Identifying where AI can have real commercial impact
- Designing and delivering use cases with the teams that own them
- Building the knowledge, skills, and confidence across the business in using AI.

You will work hands-on and desk-side with colleagues while also embedding a network of AI champions across the business. Additionally, you will be a key contributor to ensuring AI is used safely and responsibly, collaborating closely with Cyber Security and Infrastructure to establish appropriate guardrails.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and define AI use cases across the business, identifying impactful opportunities and building investment cases
- Taking use cases from concept to Proof of Value, collaborating with teams across functions
- Upskill colleagues at all levels—from Head Office functions to gym teams—through structured learning, coaching, and real-world support
- Build and nurture a network of AI champions embedded across the business to drive adoption in their teams
- Track and communicate the impact of AI adoption, demonstrating the evidence base for ROI across use cases
- Work with technical teams to ensure new AI tools and use cases are assessed and adopted within relevant governance frameworks
- Ensure PureGym’s AI policies and stance evolve with emerging technologies and growing adoption trends
The Person

- A great communicator: Can make AI feel accessible, exciting, and relevant to any audience, from gym staff to senior leadership.
- Credible under scrutiny: Comfortable navigating governance conversations and building trust with Cyber Security and risk stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills
This role requires a proven track record in the following areas:
- Experience enabling others through designing and delivering training, coaching, or capability-building programmes
- Ability to own change management initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes
- A keen interest in working with AI tools, particularly large language models and generative AI applications, in a business context
- Experience translating complex or emerging technology into practical, accessible guidance for non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with technical governance, policy design, or working within Cyber Security/risk frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness to frame AI opportunities in terms of business value and measurable outcomes
