Think the AA is just about roadside assistance? Think again.

For over a century, we've been evolving and adapting. Today, as the nation's leading motoring organisation, we offer a wide range of products and services to millions of customers. From roadside assistance to home and motor insurance, and the latest driving technologies, we have it all. As we continue to expand, diversify, and modernise, joining us as an AI Engineer means you'll play a crucial role in our success and be part of this exciting motoring journey.

Our Chief Operating Office (COO) are the backbone of The AA, providing both stability and structure to support growth and innovation. We are the drivers of change.

This is the job

At The AA, we are building a newly established AI function with the ambition to create intelligent products and services that make a meaningful difference for our members, customers and frontline teams. We are now looking for an AI Engineer to help design, build and deploy production ready AI solutions using world class datasets and modern engineering practices.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands on technically, while also wanting to shape product direction, influence design decisions and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation. You’ll not only build AI applications, but you’ll also help define how they should work, how they create value, and how they can be delivered responsibly and at scale.

You’ll likely be someone who enjoys working across both delivery and design. You care about writing good code, but you also want to understand the wider outcome, the user need and the business value. You are comfortable getting into the technical detail, while also bringing ideas, structure and challenge to conversations with stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
