Role Overview: AI Workflows & Decision Automation Engineer
This role is dedicated to designing, delivering, and continuously improving production AI workflows that automate and augment internal processes across:
- HR
- Finance
- Operations
- CRM
You’ll be responsible for both building the technology and ensuring its decision-making quality—developing AI agents, prompts, retrieval pipelines, and logic that business users can trust. Over time, you’ll enhance performance through measurement and real-world feedback.

What You’ll Do
- Design and build production-grade AI workflows, integrating across internal systems (HR, Finance, Operations, CRM).
- Implement orchestration logic—including triggers, retries, fallbacks, and human-in-the-loop patterns—to ensure reliable, observable, and auditable workflows.
- Develop, maintain, and improve:
- AI agents
- Prompts
- Retrieval pipelines
- Decision logic
- Own model behavior in production:
- Accuracy and usefulness
- Failure modes
- Edge-case and ambiguity handling
- Iterate on model performance using:
- Evaluation frameworks
- Feedback loops
- Real-world data
- Take full accountability for decision quality and outcomes—not just code—by defining and tracking metrics such as:
- Accuracy
- Resolution rate
- Time saved
- Diagnose cases where systems operate technically but deliver poor results and take corrective action.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering on shared platforms such as:
- Infrastructure
- CI/CD
- Data pipelines
- Security & governance
- Contribute to shared AI system best practices (schemas, standards).
Who You Are
Must-Have
- Strong background in software engineering (Python preferred), with experience building production systems—not just prototypes.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems (e.g., LLMs, classifiers, decision models).
- Experience with:
- API integrations
- Distributed systems
- Prompt design
- Retrieval pipelines
- ML inference workflows
- Solid grasp of:
- Model evaluation
- Monitoring & feedback loops
- Structured and unstructured data
- Product-oriented mindset: Focuses on outcomes, not shipping code; pragmatic about AI for production.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and trade-offs.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Temporal, Airflow, AWS Step Functions).
- Building internal tools/agents.
- Familiarity with regulated/enterprise environments.
- Exposure to MLOps or AI evaluation frameworks.
