AI Engineer
£80,000 + Bonus + Benefits
UK Remote / Home Based
We're supporting an established technology-driven organisation looking to hire an AI Engineer to lead the development of production AI solutions that solve genuine business challenges.
This isn't a research role or one focused on building chatbots. You'll be responsible for designing and developing intelligent AI applications that improve operational efficiency, automate manual processes and deliver measurable business value.
You'll have the opportunity to build cutting-edge solutions including:
- Agentic AI systems
- Large Language Model (LLM) applications
- Computer Vision solutions
- AI-powered document processing
- Intelligent workflow automation
- Bid and proposal generation tools
- Vehicle recognition and image analysis
- AI-assisted validation and anomaly detection

The business operates primarily on the Microsoft technology stack, however they're happy for AI development to be undertaken in Python, recognising it's the industry standard for modern AI engineering.
We're looking for experience with:
- Python
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Agentic AI
- OpenAI / Azure OpenAI (or similar)
- RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
- REST APIs
- Production AI applications
- Strong software engineering principles
