Job Title: AI Engineer
Entity: Aventum Group
Department: Technology
Location: London
This isn’t a job description. It’s your invitation.
At Aventum Group, we don’t hire to fill seats. We bring people in to build something real.
We want people to join us (that person might be you) on our mission to be the world’s most inspiring insurance group, not by playing it safe but by delivering the unexpected and creating meaningful impact. That means backing ideas early, trusting people to own their work and giving them the space to grow faster than they thought possible.
If you’re looking for rigid career paths or a one-size-fits-all management, Aventum Group probably isn’t for you. However, if you do want responsibility from day one, honest feedback and a culture that expects you to speak up, take ownership and keep getting better, then you might just be a great fit.
Some people join us knowing exactly where they want to go. Others figure it out once they’re here. Both work here - the question is, will you?
What You’ll Take On (The Actual Job Description)
So you’re looking for a new challenge? This is your chance to step into a role with real responsibility. You’ll be given the space to own your work, supported to move as fast as you want and expected to keep raising the bar for yourself and the business.
AI Engineer – Behavioural & Decision Systems. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who wants their models to matter. You’ll take advanced behavioural and decision-based AI and turn it into production systems that sit at the core of live digital products. Your work will shape how our platforms predict behaviour, make decisions and adapt in real time, powering Digital Twins, agentic systems and intelligent automation across the business. You’ll operate at the point where modelling meets delivery, with real ownership from data through to live impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you’ll do
- Turn behavioural and sequential models into production-grade systems that directly influence real decisions and outcomes.
- Own end-to-end AI pipelines, from raw data to monitored, reliable inference in live products.
- Embed causal thinking into how we evaluate impact, helping teams understand what actually changes behaviour and why.
- Build AI services that integrate cleanly into existing platforms, shaping APIs, events and decision flows alongside engineers.
- Bring behavioural dynamics to life in Digital Twins and agentic systems, making complex decision processes observable and actionable.
This role is built for someone who backs themselves, takes ownership and wants to see their work used not parked in notebooks. If you’re motivated by pace, accountability and the chance to build systems that genuinely change how products behave, you’ll feel at home here.
What it’s Like to Work Here
Expect high standards - and the support to meet them. Expect autonomy (not micromanagement) and the chance to collaborate across teams, brands and borders. Here, your ideas are taken seriously, wherever you sit in the business.

We invest when the right tools don’t exist. We listen when our people say something can be better. And when we win, we make sure the people building the business win too. This is a place where performance matters - but so does enjoyment, curiosity and doing work you are proud of.
Who Thrives at Aventum Group?
We don’t expect you to tick every box. Experience helps, but curiosity matters more. If you are willing to learn, take ownership and ask questions when you don’t know the answer, you’re already off to a great start. We look for people who:
- Have experience relevant to the role, whether from a similar position, education or transferable skills
- Confidence in communicating with others and working together
- A mindset focused on learning, improvement and follow-through
- An interest in how things work (and how they could be improved)
If this sounds like you, you sound ready for a new chapter of challenge at Aventum Group.
Why Apply
Because you want more than a job title. Because you want to grow, not wait your turn. Because you want to be trusted to do good work (and get recognised when you do it). And because you want to help build something inspiring, unexpected and meaningful.
So… challenge accepted?
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
