The Role
As our AI practice grows, we’re hiring a capable, hands-on AI Engineer to develop and deploy critical solutions across our client engagements. You’ll bridge data science and engineering, gaining experience with both traditional analytics and cutting-edge generative AI—including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agent-based applications.
Our need is for an action-minded builder who can design, develop, and document robust solutions with excellence in Python, modern data libraries, and production-level thoughtfulness.
This position reports directly into our team of Lead Data Scientists and involves delivering focused projects in collaboration with senior colleagues.

- Collaborating with senior architects to shape project designs and timelines.
- Upskilling through real-world client challenges—without excuse from day one.

Responsibilities
- Build, test, and deploy AI/ML system components as part of client solutions, following designs created by more senior leaders.
- Develop advanced AI/Generative AI features, including:
- LLM prompt engineering.
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.
- Simple agent-based applications.
- Deliver core data science tasks when required, including:
- Data preparation.
- Feature engineering.
- Model training.
- Model evaluation.
- Translate designs into production-quality Python code, ensuring clarity, scalability, and maintainability.
- Support model lifecycle management, including evaluation and monitoring.
- Act as a knowledge-sharing, problem-solving resource, tackling obstacles across projects.
- Present and explain work effectively in client discussions and team exchanges.
- Assist junior and graduate colleagues in improving their skills and contributing effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Must Have (2–4 years’ experience):
- Core technical skills in data science and ML, with practical, hands-on experience.
- Solid expertise in LLMs and generative AI, including prompt engineering and RAG.
- Understanding of AI agent architectures and workflow orchestration.
- Strong Python development skills and proficiency with data/ML libraries.
- Demonstrated capability to write clean, automated, and well-documented code.
- A collaborative team player who can communicate clearly—both with technical and non-technical audience.
Ideally (Not Mandatory):
- Experience with cloud AI platforms, notably Azure ecosystem.
- MLOps and LLMOps practice and workload management.
- Early experience in mentoring junior team members.
- Interest in consulting delivery and client-facing project frontline.

Location & Travel
- Willingness and availability to work on client sites, including extended assignments.
- Willingness to travel frequently as required by client demands.
- Must be eligible to work legally in the UK without restriction.
