Job Title
AI Engineer
About the Role
As our AI practice grows, we are seeking a capable, hands-on AI Engineer to build and deliver solutions at the core of our client work. You’ll come from a data science background and bring experience applying both proven machine-learning techniques to traditional analytics problems and cutting-edge generative AI approaches such as:
- Large language models (LLMs)
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Agent-based applications
You enjoy building dependable software, write clean code, and translate well-defined designs into production-ready solutions.
This is a delivery-focused role that sits level below our Lead Data Scientists. Scope includes:
- Ownership of meaningful workstreams within projects, aligned to an architecture and plan set by senior colleagues.
- Exposure to real client challenges, offering hands-on learning in modern AI.
- Collaborative mentorship as a supportive presence—a peer resource who helps colleagues solve problems, shares insights, and guides junior and graduate resources in day-to-day work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
