Join a pioneering project to develop an AI-powered SaaS platform designed to automate the initial legal and technical assessment of R&D projects and IP assets for companies seeking R&D Tax Incentives and Patent Box benefits. This solution will streamline the evaluation process for innovative companies in Hong Kong by leveraging advanced AI to analyze company data, uploaded documents, and relevant public information, then compare findings against government legislation and guidance. The platform will generate comprehensive reports indicating the likelihood of qualification, significantly reducing manual effort while ensuring expert oversight remains integral to the process. This is an opportunity to shape a transformative tool for the innovation sector, working alongside leadership with deep industry expertise.

Deliverables

  • Design and develop a robust AI-driven web application capable of automating first-level assessments for R&D Tax Incentives and Patent Box eligibility.
  • Integrate secure data collection modules for company information and document uploads.
  • Implement AI models to analyze documents and extract relevant data points.
  • Develop algorithms to compare findings with current government legislation and guidance.
  • Generate automated, user-friendly reports indicating qualification likelihood.
  • Ensure the platform supports expert review and oversight at key decision points.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in developing AI-powered SaaS platforms, ideally in legal, tax, or compliance domains.
  • Strong proficiency in machine learning, natural language processing, and data extraction techniques.
  • Expertise in web application development using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Django, or similar).
  • Familiarity with secure data handling, privacy regulations, and best practices for sensitive information.
  • Ability to interpret and encode complex legislative and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Availability for immediate engagement and capacity to deliver within tight timelines.
  • Based in Hong Kong or able to work remotely with a strong understanding of the Hong Kong regulatory environment.
