About the Role

As the AI Execution Manager, you will play a pivotal role:
- Shaping and executing strategic AI and digital initiatives
- Bridging gaps between scientific priorities, technological advancements, and business goals
- Leading cross-functional projects from idea to implementation
- Acting as a trusted advisor, translating between scientific, technical, and business languages for informed decision-making
- Driving alignment and delivery across Novo Nordisk’s global matrix organisation
Responsibilities
Collaborate with science and business leaders to spearhead impactful AI and digital transformation in R&D:
- Strategic Design: Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities and shape actionable AI programmes that align with organisational goals.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead complex initiatives spanning R&D, including external partnerships and technology integration.
- Strategic Coordination: Ensure sync of scientific objectives, AI capabilities, and business priorities across high-priority projects.
- Decision Facilitation: Translate technical and scientific concepts for senior leaders to inform key strategic decisions.
- Impact Delivery: Build stakeholder alignment and drive successful execution in Novo Nordisk’s global, collaborative environment.

The AI & Digital Innovation team accelerates innovation in R&D by integrating AI and digital technologies. Specifically, the AI Execution team:
- Operates across the full R&D spectrum—from target discovery to clinical development—to identify and realise high-impact initiatives.
- Bridges gaps between science, technology, and business to amplify tangible organisational outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
We’re seeking a candidate who combines strategic thinking, scientific credibility, and digital mastery to tackle complex challenges at the intersection of AI, R&D, and business leadership.
You will bring:
- Strategic CDT (Ambiguity to Action):
- Ability to transform vague ideas into structured, high-priority initiatives.
- Experience connecting scientific/technical opportunities with broader organisational goals.
- Impact-Oriented Leadership:
- Demonstrated track record of leading high-impact initiatives, influencing senior leaders, and driving measurable outcomes.
- Technical & AI fluency:
- Deeper understanding of how AI products/technologies are developed, scaled, and integrated within large enterprises.
- Strong grasp of end-to-end digital transformation, from pilot to enterprise scale.
- Scientific Expertise:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in life sciences, genomics, or related fields (allowing meaningful collaboration in R&D).
- Proficiency in key scientific concepts relevant to drug discovery, biotechnology, or AI-driven life sciences.
- Organisational Navigability:
- Configuration experience in large pharma/life sciences businesses, including coordination across scientific, technical, and business units.
- CommunicationNemesisology:
- Outstanding oral and written English skills.
- Ability to bridge gaps between scientists, engineers, and executives with clarity and conviction.

Proven Experience: Typically 5+ years in roles such as:
- Life sciences within R&D, digital innovation, data science, or pharma consulting.
- Digital transformation leadership in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences.
- Exceptions considered if applicants show exceptional intellectual curiosity and impact in cross-disciplinary fields.

- Annual Base Salary: DKK 742,600–1,091,600 (dependent on experience, skills, and market benchmarks).
