AI Governance Lead - (Inside IR35)
Billigence is hiring: AI Governance Lead
Who we are:
Billigence is a boutique data consultancy with global reach, helping organisations transform the way they work with data. We specialise in delivering high-impact data solutions across Data Management, Data Governance, Cloud Data Platforms, AI Enablement, and Advanced Analytics. Headquartered in Sydney with offices across the UK, Europe, and APAC, Billigence partners with organisations to design and implement modern data capabilities that drive better decision-making and business outcomes. Our teams work on complex, enterprise-scale transformation programmes across industries including retail, financial services, and technology.
About the role:
We are looking for an AI Governance Lead to support a major enterprise AI transformation programme through to March 2027.
This role will work closely with senior leadership to help shape, establish, and operationalise AI governance standards, frameworks, and controls across the organisation. The environment is still relatively immature from an AI governance perspective, making this an opportunity for someone who can bring structure, pragmatism, and strong governance expertise into a rapidly evolving space. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the organisation move from high-level AI principles into practical governance processes, standards, and implementation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
