About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, curious and ambitious AI & IT Support Technician to join our IT team and help shape the future of technology at Muc-Off.
This unique role combines practical IT support with the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. You'll keep our warehouse and office technology running smoothly while helping colleagues make the most of AI tools including ChatGPT, Copilot and Claude to work smarter, faster and more efficiently. From troubleshooting Windows / PCs, printers, Android WMS scanners and warehouse systems to testing new AI tools and improving business processes, no two days will be the same. You'll solve real-world technical challenges, support users across the business, and help identify practical ways AI can simplify everyday work and boost productivity.
Working alongside the Head of IT at our Southampton UK Distribution Centre, you'll strengthen our in-house IT capability while building valuable experience in both IT support and AI. As your skills and experience grow, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to increasingly advanced AI initiatives, with the potential to progress into an AI Engineer role.

Key Responsibilities
AI & Innovation
You'll help shape how AI is used across Muc-Off by:
- Championing the practical adoption of AI across the business
- Supporting colleagues to get the most from AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude and other AI platforms
- Researching, testing and experimenting with new AI tools, features and workflows
- Identifying opportunities where AI can simplify everyday tasks, improve productivity and solve real business challenges
- Building AI assistants, AI agents, prompts and automated workflows
- Creating simple user guides and delivering AI training to help colleagues build confidence using AI safely and effectively
- Staying up to date with the latest AI developments and bringing fresh ideas into the business
IT Technical Support
Alongside helping drive AI adoption, you'll also:
- Provide friendly, hands-on IT support for our warehouse and office teams
- Troubleshoot Windows 11 PCs, laptops, printers, hardware and software issues
- Support Android WMS scanners, warehouse technology and connected devices
- Set up new starter equipment and workstations
- Troubleshoot desktop, label, USB and network printers
- Assist with basic networking, Wi-Fi and access point checks
- Maintain IT documentation, asset records and knowledge articles
- Resolve as many issues as possible in-house, escalating where appropriate

Essential Skills & Experience
We're more interested in your curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to learn than ticking every technical box.
- A genuine passion for AI, technology and finding smarter ways of working
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude or similar, whether through work, study or personal project.
- Curiosity to explore, test and experiment with new technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting
- Great communication skills and a passion for helping people
- Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop your skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows PCs and common IT hardware
- Comfortable working in both warehouse and office environment
- Willingness to support occasional access point checks at height (training provided)
Desirable Skills
These aren't essential - we'll help you learn them
- Awareness of responsible AI, data privacy or AI governance
- Experience with Android handheld scanners or warehouse technology
- Exposure to WMS, ERP or logistics systems
- Basic understanding of networking, Wi-Fi, switches and firewalls
- CompTIA A+, Network+ or similar qualifications
- Experience operating a scissor lift or cherry picker, or willingness to be trained
