Japanese Language Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for Japanese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems built for Japanese language learning and communication. Your linguistic insight and teaching background will directly shape how AI understands, assesses, and teaches Japanese — making a meaningful impact on learners around the world.

Location: Remote
Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week, fully asynchronous
What You'll Do
- Evaluate AI-generated Japanese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
- Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
- Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using expert judgment
- Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
- Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
- Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction

Who You Are
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese
- Experience teaching Japanese or evaluating learner language
- Fluent in English (C1/C2 level)
- Familiar with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks
- Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
- No prior AI experience required
