AI Marketing Manager
Permanent / Full-time
Southampton (Office-based)
LDOT® (www.ldot.uk)
Salary: £45k–£50k DOE + performance bonus. We back talent and ambition. Show us the impact you can make and we will show you the package to match.
Who We Are
God-mode designers. Performance perfectionists. Straight-talkers.
We are LDOT®, a digital-first marketing agency in Southampton with a simple obsession: design that blows jaws off and campaigns that actually deliver ROI. No jargon, no fluff. Just world-class work that punches above its weight and makes competitors cry into their dashboards.
A big part of that is LeadTap®, our proven growth system for service businesses. Ads, landing pages, quiz funnels, CRM, automation and follow-up, combined into one lead engine. Our landing pages convert at 18%+ against an industry average of 3–5%, and we back the whole thing with our 30-Lead Floor Guarantee™: 30 qualified leads in 90 days or every penny back.
Here is what has changed: we have rebuilt how LeadTap gets delivered. The work that used to need a strategist, a copywriter, a designer, a developer and a technical specialist now runs through one systemised, AI-powered process, with AI doing the heavy lifting. What that process needs now is a team of sharp marketers to run it.
That is the job.
About the Role
This is not just another Marketing Manager job. This role barely existed a year ago.
You will be the orchestrator of LeadTap® delivery, owning every client build from strategy call to live, converting campaign. AI drafts the messaging, writes the landing page copy, builds the follow-up sequences. You are the marketing brain directing it: briefing it, challenging it, and knowing when it is wrong.
Because here is the thing: AI writes confident copy. So do bad marketers. Your value is knowing the difference.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You will work alongside project managers and paid performance specialists. You will not be doing production grunt work. You will be doing the thinking: strategy, judgement, diagnosis, client confidence. One team, running the whole engine.
What You Will Do
- Run client strategy calls (we have the questions documented, but scripts do not spot the throwaway comment that becomes the winning angle - you do). Nail the ideal customer, the real differentiator and the offer.
- Orchestrate the full LeadTap® process with AI: from strategy to messaging to landing page to automated follow-up, at a pace that used to take a team.
- Act as the quality gate on everything AI produces. Validate messaging against what you know converts. Push back. Redirect. Never rubber-stamp.
- Diagnose performance like a marketer, not a dashboard-watcher: spot whether it is a traffic problem, a message problem or a follow-up problem, then work with AI and our paid specialists to fix it.
- Own client confidence: present results and next steps with clarity (no vanity metrics).
- Make the system itself sharper every month: better prompts, better playbooks, better process. You are not just running the machine, you are helping build it.
What You Bring
Marketing Judgement (non-negotiable)
- 5+ years in performance / conversion-led marketing where you were personally accountable for results.
- You can smell weak messaging at ten paces, and you can articulate why it is weak.
- Client-facing confidence: you ask revealing questions, handle pushback and hold the room.
- You understand offers, ideal customer profiles and buyer intent, not just channels.
AI Fluency
- You already use AI (Claude, ChatGPT or similar) daily for real client-grade work, not novelty.
- You direct AI rather than defer to it: brief it, critique it, iterate it, and overrule it when it is wrong.
- Genuine curiosity about prompts, workflows and automation. You see AI as leverage, not a threat.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Performance & Analytics
- Data-led decision making: confident with GA4, GTM, conversion tracking and funnel drop-off analysis.
- You can reverse-engineer a target (leads needed, conversion rate required, cost per lead ceiling) and diagnose from the numbers.
- Experimentation mindset: test, learn, compound.
Why LDOT®?
Because average is not in our vocabulary.
Here you will:
- Run the most leveraged marketing role we know of: one team owning outcomes end-to-end, instead of being one cog passing work between five teams.
- Define a role that barely exists anywhere else yet, and shape the playbook others will copy.
- Work with AI the way the rest of the industry will be working in three years.
- See your work make a visible difference: to client pipelines, and to our growth.
- Thrive in a culture that is high-performance but always has your back.
- Earn a package that rewards your impact, not your time served.
This is one of the most exciting times to join LDOT®. We are scaling fast, LeadTap® is at the heart of it, and this hire is the engine room.
Ready to Apply?
This is not for coasters. It is not for AI tourists either - if you can prompt but cannot market, this will eat you alive. And if you are a great marketer who thinks AI is beneath you, we will not get on.
But if you are the marketer who has been waiting for a role where the busywork is automated and the judgement is the job, this is it.
Apply now and let's make digital marketing that actually works.
