Are you ready to build and lead an AI consulting practice from the ground up? We're partnering with a global engineering, technology and consulting leader - to find an AI Practice Lead who can shape their AI vision and grow a market-leading capability.
This is a genuine build-and-lead opportunity, not a "manage what already exists" role. You'll combine deep technical credibility with senior stakeholder influence, working directly with C-suite clients to turn AI ambition into measurable business outcomes.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and growing the AI Practice — strategy, market positioning, capability development, revenue growth and delivery excellence
- Partnering with senior client stakeholders to shape enterprise AI, Data and Digital Transformation strategies
- Running opportunity discovery workshops, identifying high-value use cases, and building the business cases and roadmaps behind them
- Providing technical leadership across modern AI architectures — Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG, Data Platforms, Cloud AI Services
- Staying hands-on where it counts: solution architecture, technical assurance, and unblocking complex delivery challenges
- Developing industry-specific AI offerings, accelerators, partnerships and thought leadership
- Supporting business development and acting as a trusted advisor on strategic Data & AI opportunities, across existing and new clients
- Building, mentoring and growing a high-performing team of AI consultants, architects, data specialists and engineers

What you'll bring
Essential:
- Strong technical depth in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, RAG, MLOps, Enterprise AI Architecture and AI Risk Management & Compliance
- Experience with AI Strategy, AI Governance and Responsible AI Frameworks
- Solid data foundations — Data Strategy, Governance, Architecture, Engineering and modern cloud data platforms
- A consulting leadership background: solution shaping, pre-sales, executive workshops and business case development
- A track record of building, leading or scaling AI capabilities or centres of excellence
- Comfort operating at C-suite/executive level
Desirable:
- AI Assurance, Model Validation and AI Testing experience
- Background delivering AI-enabled transformation in regulated industries (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Energy or Utilities)
- Certifications such as Azure AI, AWS AI/ML, Google AI/ML, TOGAF or DAMA/CDMP
