Overview
We are hiring a Business Product Owner to lead the business vision, roadmap, and prioritisation for a leading Wealth Management firm's AI and digital transformation programme. Acting as a key voice within the business, you will work in partnership with the Technical Product Owner to ensure technology delivery remains aligned with commercial objectives, adviser needs, and regulatory requirements.
This is a highly influential role responsible for translating complex business requirements into a prioritised roadmap that delivers measurable value across financial advice, operations, and client outcomes. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, balancing commercial priorities, compliance obligations, and user experience to shape the future of our clients' AI advice platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the business roadmap and prioritised backlog across the transformation programme
- Capture, assess, and prioritise business requirements from Advice, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
- Apply a structured prioritisation framework balancing regulatory obligations, commercial value, and adviser productivity
- Define business requirements for AI-enabled advice workflows, CRM improvements, and operational automation
- Act as the business authority for adviser, paraplanner, and operational workflows throughout delivery
- Ensure all AI and platform enhancements align with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and business objectives
- Own business acceptance, stakeholder sign-off, and release readiness for new capabilities
- Partner closely with the Technical Product Owner to manage dependencies, sprint planning, and programme delivery
- Lead stakeholder engagement, user feedback sessions, and backlog refinement across the organisation
- Support governance forums, executive reporting, and programme steering groups with clear business updates and recommendations
- Contribute to business cases, board papers, and transformation planning to ensure investment decisions remain commercially focused

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
